The first theatre production highlighting the global takeover of the K-Pop industry will be making its Broadway debut later this year, with its opening night scheduled for November 20, while hosting preview performances in mid-October.
The production stars Luna, former member of girl group, f(x). The cast also includes former K-Pop stars Bo Hyung Kim (SPICA and KEEMBO), Min Young Lee
(Miss A), and Kevin Woo (U-KISS), along with 16 members of the production making their Broadway debut.
The show will follow the stories a biracial Korean American struggling with his identity, a group of idols making their big break, an international label entering the American industry and the events leading up to a special one-night-only performance.
Based on a well-received earlier off-Broadway production of KPOP by the team at Woodshed Collective and Ars Nova, we’re excited to see how the production does on Broadway, and how critics compare the Broadway production to its earlier iterations.
