Halsey has courageously shared her private battle with illness, revealing her journey through a series of Instagram videos that document her receiving medical infusions. In her initial post, she expressed gratitude for being alive and hinted at the therapeutic role music has played in her recovery, stating, "I wrote an album." Initially, the exact nature of her illness wasn't disclosed, but Halsey later revealed that she was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in 2022 and subsequently with a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Thankfully, she shared that both conditions are now in remission, though they remain lifelong challenges.
Reflecting on her experience, Halsey conveyed a sense of resilience and hope. In one video, she poignantly remarked, "I told myself I'm giving myself two more years to be sick. At 30, I'm having a rebirth and I'm not gonna be sick."
