The wait is over, ARMY! BTS is officially back together and balancing work and play in their first moments of reunion after completing mandatory military service. J-Hope sent fans into a frenzy Thursday (August 21) by sharing a series of Instagram photos and videos showing all seven members enjoying a day at the beach, hitting shopping destinations, and most excitingly, recording new music in the studio.
The candid photos capture RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook posing against a stunning sunset backdrop, with Jin flashing his signature peace sign and Jimin wrapped in a beach towel. The natural, relaxed shots mark the group's first unofficial photos together since Suga's discharge in late June completed the band's military service cycle. Additional images show the members enjoying retail therapy, suggesting they're making the most of their long-awaited time together.
While the beach photos delighted fans, it was j-hope's studio videos that truly set the fandom alight. Two muted clips show V enthusiastically singing into a microphone and Jung Kook smiling while Jimin lays down vocals clear evidence that the group is already deep into recording their promised 2026 comeback album. The timing aligns perfectly with their July Weverse livestream announcement confirming a spring 2026 album release and world tour.
After two years of separate military service, a period that saw members release solo projects but maintain their group hiatus, these photos represent more than just casual hangouts. They signal the careful orchestration of BTS' full-scale return to global dominance. The studio footage specifically confirms their commitment to delivering new music that reflects their growth as artists while staying true to their shared identity.
Watch the clips on j-hope's Instagram but be warned: you might need to sit down after viewing.
