The upcoming 'Barbie' film, scheduled for release on July 21st, has captured the hearts of fans who have long admired the animated Barbie films. Greta Girwig's live-action remake of the famous film series has received a lot of attention on social media, particularly from celebrities.
To keep things exciting a Barbie soundtrack has slowly worked its way to the public ear, with outstanding singers such as Dua Lipa, Fifty Fifty, Ice Spice, and others. Recently, on July 13th, young talented singer and songwriter Billie Eilish contributed to the Barbie craze with a single titled ‘What Was I Made For?’ From the lyrics to the overall vibe, Billie portrays the song as a ballad with a melancholy feel.
The song was written by Billie and her brother Finneas, who also assisted with the production. Finneas has been credited as a co-writer on many of Eilish's hit songs, including "Happier Than Ever" and "TV." He is a gifted musician known for his ability to compose hit tunes using digital audio tools. Finneas has talked about how he experiments with various sounds in order to identify one that he connects with.
'What Was I Made For?' embodies sensations of longing, hope, and despair, thus enhancing expectations for the new film. Billie achieved an ethereal atmosphere with this lovely, musical composition making it a perfect fit for the long awaited live-action 'Barbie' movie.
