SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) is a 13 member Korean boy band under Pledis Entertainment. They are split into 3 teams, the Hip Hop unit (S.coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon), the Vocal unit (Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK, Seungkwan) and the Performance unit (Jun, Hoshi, THE8, Dino).
On May 26, the group released their leading track for their new album Face the Sun, “HOT”. On the second day of its release, it was number two trending on YouTube, and a week later, is still number 5 with over 34M views. The song has a strong and bold vibe that brings passionate energy like the sun. It’s an energetic song and can lift the mood when you need it. It is great to listen to when you need that extra motivation to accomplish your goals as the rhythm definitely brings you back on your feet. The harmony reveals a more mature side of SEVENTEEN, and you can feel their growth through the song.
“HOT” represents the group’s current goals as artists; to walk their own path, and as Hoshi says, “become artists that are like the sun, making a substantial impact all over the world.” It is a continuation of the story from their English single, "Darl+ing", a song directed to their fandom. The song is written by Alex Keem, SOFTSERVEBOY, Ploypaworawan Praison, August Rigo, Bumzu & Woozi (우지). They composed the song so it follows the theme of facing one's own fears and making courageous choices for the future which is the main focus of the new album.

Despite being the lead vocalist of SEVENTEEN, Woozi is a singer-songwriter who has produced multiple songs for many Korean artists. On January 3, he made his solo debut with his English single “Ruby”, which has reached over 6M views.
Soon, the group will be going on their third world tour, Be the Sun, where they will spread their music passion around the world. We are excited to see what impact they will bring and where they will go in the future. We believe that SEVENTEEN can reach their goals in becoming like the sun.
