Lil Yachty Labels Drake The "Biggest Rapper Of All Time"

Lil Yachty’s Bold Claim

Lil Yachty isn’t shy about showing love for his close friend Drake. During a recent appearance on the MdFoodieBoyz podcast, the Some Sexy Songs 4 U artist labeled the Toronto superstar “the biggest rapper of all time.”

The moment came when one of the hosts asked Yachty to help book Drake for the show. “You want the biggest rapper of all time?” Yachty replied. “You’re aiming for the stars.”

From there, the conversation drifted toward viral comedian Druski, whom Yachty described as his “first famous friend,” revealing that Druski had texted him just the day before.

Social Media Reacts

After Akademiks TV posted the clip to X (formerly Twitter), fan reactions quickly poured in. Many agreed with Yachty’s sentiment, pointing to Drake’s commercial dominance and cultural influence.

“He is. He’s so big he’s not even viewed as a rapper anymore,” one user wrote.
“Even though Kanye still my goat… Drake kinda is man and he still going,” added another.

Others, however, pushed back with more critical takes, suggesting the praise was overblown or fueled by excessive fandom.

Addressing Rumors of a Rift

Yachty and Drake have maintained a close friendship for years, but fans speculated about tension between the two in 2024. Speaking with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay earlier this year, Yachty dismissed those rumors.

“Call it glazing if you want to, man. That’s my big brother… I think that he’s a great guy, and he’s done a lot for a lot of people,” he said.

New Music on the Horizon

Yachty’s praise comes as both artists gear up for major releases. Yachty is preparing to drop his next solo studio album Iceman, with singles like “What Did I Miss?” and “Which One” featuring Central Cee already making waves.

Drake, meanwhile, has yet to confirm the release date for Iceman but continues to dominate streaming platforms and cultural conversation — a fact that may lend weight to Yachty’s lofty “biggest rapper” title.
