BTS: The First K-Pop Band to be Invited to the White House

BTS is the most famous K-Pop band in the world now, and recently, they were invited to the white house to speak about anti-Asian hate crimes and inclusivity. Being the first K-Pop band to be invited to the white house, BTS has moved the hearts of many through their speech.

Jungkook gave a powerful speech, and although the message was delivered in Korean, it nonetheless reached many viewers. At the end of his speech, Jungkook became the number one trend on Twitter.

"We still feel surprised that music created by South Korean artists reaches so many people around the world, transcending languages and cultural barriers. We believe music is always an amazing and wonderful unifier of all things."

                                                                                                                                                -Jungkook, May 2022

It is amazing to see such young artists make a large global impact. Not only are the international fans proud, but those back in Korea also praise their brilliant accomplishments

The band has definitely come a long way since they formed back in 2010. It took three years for them to debut, and finally in 2017, they reached the global music market which started the K-Pop boom in North America. Their music quickly began to fill the charts, and in less than two years, they achieved four number-one albums. It is great to see them spread K-pop around the world.

BTS occasionally have given speeches at the United Nation General Assembly, so this is not the first time we’re seeing them speak about controversial topics. BTS has become such global icons that they make great achievements outside of their musical career and fandom. The members are very kind and respectful that everyone falls to their appeal. We hope to see an impact from their music, and we look forward to their future growth.
